Scripture: Job 22:27-28
You will make your prayer to Him, He will hear you, And you will pay your vows. You will also declare a thing, And it will be established for you; So light will shine on your ways.
These are decrees and declarations that I believe (fully expect) God to fulfill according to His will for my life. Although the declarations below are personal, if any of these prayers touch your heart, feel free to pray in agreement with me that we may be on one accord as we pray, activating the promises of God into our lives. [James 5:16].
Repentance Lord, I come humbly before Your throne, in the name of Jesus, repenting of all sins and offenses committed against You and others. I seek forgiveness for every wrong thought, action, and spoken word that does not align with your will – even the things I am not aware of.
Thank You for Your forgiveness, as promised in 1 John 1:9, and for Your mercy and compassion that are renewed every morning (Lamentations 3:22-23). Great is Your faithfulness! “Come now, let us reason together,” says the Lord: “though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall be like wool” (Isaiah 1:18). Because of Your grace through the sacrifice of Jesus, I can boldly approach Your throne of grace (Hebrews 4:16). Thank You, Jesus.
In the name of Jesus, I cast down any desires of my heart that seek to exalt themselves above God and I bring every thought captive to the obedience of Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5). Help me from falling into idolatry (Romans 1:21-22). I am submitted to You, O God, and thank You for loving me so much that You gave Your only begotten Son so that I might believe in Him and have eternal life (John 3:16).
Jehovah-Jireh (My Provider) Lord, I submit my desires to You. You alone are worthy, O Lord, to receive glory, honor, and power, for You created all things, and by Your will, they exist and were created (Revelation 4:11). I will delight myself in You, Lord, and trust that You will give me the desires of my heart according to Your will (Psalm 37:4). I know the Father knows what I need before I ask Him (Matthew 6:8). I believe Your Holy Scriptures, which promise that if I ask anything in Jesus’ name, You will do it according to Your will and Word (John 16:23, Matthew 21:22, John 15:7, John 14:13). Lord, You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that I ask or think, according to the power that works in me (Ephesians 3:20). Therefore, do not limit Your blessings to my requests because You know the plans You have for my life, and they are good. Increase every area of my life according to Your riches in glory (Philippians 4:19), not based on my abilities or resources. I lay the desires of my heart on Your altar, trusting You completely and fully expecting my requests to be granted by faith in Your Word.
A Closer Relationship with You Lord, I desire a closer relationship with You—fresh revelations, fresh anointing, fresh visions, and fresh wisdom and understanding. Show me new things about Yourself and Your kingdom (Matthew 6:33). Speak to me in dreams, visions, and through Your Word (Joel 2:28, Acts 2:17). Use me, Lord, as Your mouthpiece, and give me fresh, creative ways to share Your love and Word with Your people.
Protection Against the Forces of Evil Lord, I thank You for the protection You have promised as You lead me into the land I will possess (Deuteronomy 1:21). Build a hedge of protection around me as I enter battles not against flesh and blood but against principalities, powers, rulers of darkness, and spiritual wickedness in high places (Ephesians 6:12). When I feel weak, remind me that God has not given me a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Prevent evildoers from causing harm to my mind, character, body, or spirit. Send Your angels to protect me from seen and unseen dangers. I live under the protection of Your Word, “Touch not my anointed and do my prophets no harm” (1 Chronicles 16:22, Psalm 105:15, Romans 12:19). Wearing the full armor of God (Ephesians 6:13-17), I will boldly proclaim the things of God (Titus 2, Ephesians 6:19).
Forgive My Debts as I Forgive My Debtors In the name of Jesus, I declare and decree that all my debts—financial and personal—are forgiven. I understand that in asking this, I must forgive all debts against me (Matthew 6:12, 14; Mark 11:25-26; Luke 11:4; Luke 17:4). I release every debt, including resentment, blame, and unforgiveness, right now in Jesus’ name. I accept my forgiveness and the release of all debts held against me financially, personally, and spiritually.
Increase I declare and decree increase in my finances, ministry, blessings, favor with men, wisdom, and territory (spiritually and materially) in Jesus’ name (1 Chronicles 4:10). I accept all abundant blessings of God and claim my inheritance as a joint heir with Christ (Romans 9:8, Galatians 4:7). I accept God’s great and precious promises (2 Peter 1:4). Lord, I also pray for wisdom in my decisions concerning my finances, career, and ministry according to Your will. Lead, guide, and direct me to make the correct decisions, and create confusion if I am not in Your will so that I may know.
Jehovah-Rophe (My Healer) In the name of Jesus, I declare miraculous and supernatural healing in my body, mind, and spirit. I am made whole (Matthew 9:22; 14:36; 15:28; Mark 10:52; Luke 8:48; 17:19; John 5:4, 9, 14). I receive the gift of healing others in Jesus’ name (1 Corinthians 12:9, 28; Mark 16:17-18).
Single Woman’s Prayer of Faith Lord, I submit myself to You as an unmarried woman, wholly dedicated to You for the ministry assigned to me. Your Word says, “…the unmarried woman cares about the things of the Lord, that she may be holy both in body and spirit” (1 Corinthians 7:34-35). I believe that whoever finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favor from the Lord (Proverbs 18:22). I trust that You are sending the husband You have prepared for me, and I refrain from looking for a man, dating as the world does, or partaking in any level of intimacy beyond true Christian fellowship. I will recognize my husband as a son of God by the Holy Spirit.
I rebuke, cast down, and cancel any appointments with false prophets, wolves in sheep’s clothing, and demonic spirits. Anyone with sinister or ulterior motives will be immediately revealed and must flee in Jesus’ name (James 4:7).
Mandate of Discipleship I declare and decree that those who come into my presence are drawn to the attributes of Christ in me and will be led to salvation, deliverance, reconciliation, and purification. They will become disciples who lead others to Christ according to the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20). I also pray a special blessing over my family and friends who have not yet come to Christ, that they will seek God and find salvation, deliverance, and eternal life in Him.
Will God Hear Your Prayers?
- God hears and acknowledges the prayer of salvation: 1 Timothy 2:3-4, John 1:12-13.
- To pray effectively, you must worship the One you are praying to: John 9:31, John 3:5.
- God answers prayers that are according to His will: 1 John 5:14-16.
- Intercessory prayer is done on behalf of an unbeliever by a believer: Genesis 20:7.
- Intercessory prayer is done on behalf of carnal believers by a believer: 1 Samuel 12:19-24.
There are scriptures that indicate God does not hear a sinner’s prayer: 1 Peter 3:12, especially when they call Him as a last resort (Jeremiah 2:28). However, in His sovereignty, God may intervene in a sinner’s life, and often does, to guide them in His plans and purposes. Nevertheless, It is better to have a personal relationship with God, as His promises, blessings and favor are based on covenant with Him and were made to benefit the righteous.
The Good News is that a relationship is yours for the asking because anyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.
Prayer for Salvation
If you are reading these prayers and have not accepted Jesus Christ as your personal savior, say this prayer with sincerity (or something similar from your heart): “Lord, I acknowledge that I am a sinner. I believe that Jesus Christ died for my sins on the cross and was resurrected three days later for my justification. I now receive and confess Jesus Christ as my personal savior. I accept the gift of grace and thank God for washing away my sins. Lord, I invite Your Holy Spirit to come and live inside me forever.”
